Springs School students did very well at the Student Film Award Ceremony at Guild Hall last weekend, winning second and third place awards. Students competed with all of the public and private schools on the East End. The ceremony celebrated winning films in three categories: Grades 2-4, 5-8, and 9-12. "It was a great experience," said enrichment teacher Mrs. O'Connor. Fifth graders Bella Tarbet and Evan Mendelman won third place for their "Hamlet" animation film in the grades 5-8 category, and fourth graders Kimberly Bermeo and Corrina Castillo won second place for their "Making of the Opera" film in the grades 2-4 category.
