Last week, 62 eighth graders had the chance to learn CPR and earn certifications in CPR and AED usage. Sag Harbor high school students certified in American Heart Association CPR and AED instruction visiited Springs School on Tuesday, November 10th to run classes for our eighth grade students. These classes will lead to certification in CPR and AED techniques.  The Sag Harbor students, along with their teacher Susan Denis, generously volunteered their time and equipment to instruct our students in these life-saving skills.  In addition, the Springs School PTA has offered to cover the cost of the official American Heart Association CPR certification card for each eighth grader who successfully completed the course!   We would also like to thank Ed Michaels and the Town of East Hampton for the use of their mannequins and AED units, the Sag Harbor School Board, administration and teachers as well as the Springs School Board, administration and teachers and community members for their assistance with this endeavor.
