The girls volleyball team started off their season with a win and great playing! On Wednesday, December 2nd, the girls played against Bridgehampton for the first time in four years. Bridgehampton just added the volleyball program this year. Eighth graders Jennifer Calle, Grace Frazier, and Madison Lappin were our top servers with more than 10 serves each! They were closely followed by eighth grader Kaylee Mendelman, 7th grader Katrina Osterberg, and eighth grader Brenda Guerrero. Seventh grader Bella Tarbet had the only "kill" of the game. "I was very proud of the girls," said coach Ana Jacobs. "They accomplished the win coming together as a team, making mistakes and putting them behind them right away. They got rid of some of the first game jitters for now but will probably still be a bit nervous next Wednesay, at our first home game against East Moriches. We're looking forward to a good challenge to put to use all the skills we've been practicing!" Watch the girls on Wednesday, December 9th at 4:30 pm in the Springs School gymnasium.
