Students celebrated Earth Day in many different ways throughout the school. Mrs. McGrath's fourth graders worked on an activity where they thought about the many ways they can show their appreciation and respect to the Earth.  "We traced our hands for "leaves" and stapled them to a tree we created that is on our hallway bulletin board," said Mrs. McGrath.  Mrs. McGrath invited other students and staff members to share what they do to show their appreciation and respect for our world by adding their own handprint to the tree. Kindergartners in Mrs. Hicks' class celebrated by painting terracotta planters to plant seeds in, and wrote different ways in which they can help take care of the Earth. Happy Earth Day!
