Springs School students won the Independent newspaper's annual "Boo!" scary story contest! For the first time, a Springs School student won the Grand Prize. Seventh grader Aidan McCormac received the Grand Prize for his story, "Halloween Animatronics."  Sixth graders Chloe Swickard won first place with her story, "Who's There?" and Hunter Eberhart won third place with his story, "The Knocks."  All the winners were published in last week's issue, and won trophies.

"Congratulations to the winners!" said seventh grade English teacher Adam Osterweil. "The stories were outstanding and the quality of writing is exceptional.  All those who submitted stories to the contest should be proud of themselves for demonstrating that Springs School students are excellent writers." The stories can be read in the newspaper, or by clicking here.
