A Mad Scientist visited Mr. Knight's first grade science class and he taught the students how to make slime! Mr. Knight returned at the end of the class to comment that the slime will last about one week after it's made. To make your own slime at home, try this recipe from this Mad Scientist:

1/4 cup water
1/4 cup white glue (washable)
6 drops green food dye
1/4 cup liquid starch (Amagansett IGA has it!)

Procedure:

1.  Combine glue and water and stir
2.  Add 6 drops of green food dye and stir until combined
3.  Add liquid starch and stir for 2 mins

YOU HAVE SLIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Liquid starch slime gets better with time but can be used right away. Playing with it helps it set.  After about 10 minutes, it is just ready to go.   Decorate your liquid starch slime with confetti or glitter.
