Students in Mrs. Knight and Mrs. Reiner's class celebrated "P.S. I Love You Day" on Valentine's Day, February 14th. They encouraged students throughout the school to wear purple to show that they care about each other, and shared messages of friendship. The incentive of the day is to make every child feel loved and accepted. "We would love to see this become an annual tradition at Springs School," said Mrs. Knight. "We want to foster acceptance and love among all students." Activities planned, in addition to wearing purple, included reading a book, I Love You More Than..., writing a letter to someone special in order to remind them how special they are in our world, writing positive sayings such as "You're Amazing" on purple Post-Its and leaving them around the school, and "classmate kindness," where students pick someone in their class and write a compliment to that person.
