Turkey Trot is Monday, Nov.20th!

Our 4th Annual Turkey Trot hosted by the Springs School PTA will take place on Monday, November 20th with a rain date on Tuesday, November 21st. The race will begin at 9:00 a.m. The roads around the campus will be closed off to all traffic and the school parking lot will need to be vacated of visitor cars by no later than 8:45 a.m. There will be no Spirit Meet on that Monday.

K-2 students will participate in a .7 mile fun run/walk while students in grades 3-8 will participate in a 1.7-mile fun run/walk. All race proceeds will directly benefit the Springs School swim program for elementary students and ice skating events for the upper grades. With so many generous sponsorships and donations, we raised over $10,000 last year!

Permission and donation forms are linked below along with the map routes. These forms will also go home with the children. Parents will need to complete the permission forms for their children to participate. The PTA urges all families to work on sponsors. Those who donate $100 or more personally or through their business will be recognized on a banner which will be visible at the finish line.


Here are some important reminders:

  • Please dress your children appropriately for the Trot.  Layers are a great idea! Comfortable shoes are a must. Children should wear sneakers.
  • There will be no parking after 8:45 am  on School Street and on the Springs School Campus.  Please remember that if you need to move your car, you will not be allowed to do so until both races are complete. That will be at approximately 10:30 am




Please have your child hand in the sponsor and permission form to your classroom or homeroom no later than November 20th. Checks can be made out to the SPRINGS SCHOOL PTA.
