Springs School hosted its first free book drive on Friday, December 15th. Through the National Book Bank program, "First Book" connects publishers with local schools and community programs serving children in need. "The National Book Bank puts over 8 million books each year into the hands of kids," explained Superintendent Ms. Winter. "Springs School is receiving these books as part of the book drive at Longwood School District." We would also like to thank Josephine Libassi, Vice President of the Middle Island Teachers Association, who was instrumental in ensuring that Springs School received approximately 1,400 books. We look forward to hosting this free book drive again next year!
