Eighth Graders Go on a Silent March Through the School for Social Studies Class

Eight graders in Ms. Farmer's Social Studies class learned about Martin Luther King Jr.'s March on Washington where he gave his famous "I Have A Dream " speech.   "After reading the "I Have a Dream" speech by Dr King, students wrote a dream for themselves, their family and friends, and for the world," explained Ms. Farmer. "They shared their dreams for the world as they went on a silent march through the hallways of the school."  Some students marched for equality for all, a cure for cancer, world peace, an end to war, to stop terrorism, protection of the environment and acceptance of all genders and nationalities.
