John Charlton is the new Springs School IT technician, but he is no stranger to the school; John is returning to Springs School as an alumnus. John graduated from Springs in 1991, after which he lead an accomplished technology career. He studied Biomedical Computing in college, and went on to work in a variety of Information Technology jobs. He worked for Shared Medical Systems in Pennsylvania, where he worked on computer mainframes that would be used to protect the identities of patients at hospitals and facilitate medical insurance needs. In Massachusetts, he worked for the Department of Transportation, managing the thousands of computers that facilitated transportation. He also has experience managing the technology infrastructure that facilitated care-giving and educational supports in schools.

John says that he is happy to be back in Springs, which feels so familiar to him, though the VCR's and pull-down maps have been replaced with more advanced technologies. He will be working on server and network upgrades, strategies for improving technology, and meeting the daily tech needs of the schools. He is looking forward to hanging up his Springs Diploma above his new desk in the IT Department.

It is wonderful to hear the accomplished stories of those who have graduated from the Springs School. If you have a story to share about what you accomplished after graduating from Springs, we would love to hear it!
