Robotics Teams Visit High School "Deep Space" Robotics Competition

Springs School Robotics teams had the chance to be spectators during the "Destination: Deep Space" High School Robotics Competition. We sat in the stands as teams challenged each other in a basketball court-sized arena to repair their rockets and cargo ships, load cargo, and get back to their Space habitats. Essentially, this meant that we got to see 4-foot tall robots playing a basketball-like game, blocking the other teams, and launching balls all over the court! It was a so much fun to watch! Later, our teams had the chance to meet with teams from the Island and teams from as far away as China! What a great day! I wonder if our students will get the chance to compete in this tournament when they are in high school!
