The annual 8th Grade Retreat at Camp Quinipet took place this year on October 24th and 25th. The purpose of the retreat is to provide group and individual experiences that aim to increase self-esteem and confidence through "Project Adventure"-type of activities. Students participated in a series of problem-solving activities designed to involve a group physically, mentally and emotionally. Students were able to push their own limits by working together in groups to accomplish a task, which enabled them to build self-confidence and strengthen interpersonal skills. During the team building activities, students used effective communication techniques and problem-solving strategies, which can be used throughout life."Students were able to push their own limits by working together in groups to accomplish a task, which enabled them to build self-confidence and strengthen interpersonal skills," said Middle School Science teacher and organizer of the retreat Ms. Pannizzo.
