Lego league Robotics

All three Springs School FIRST Robotics teams competed in the qualifying championships this weekend at Huntington High School. Each of our teams did extremely well against over 30 teams from around Long Island. Our teams placed 5th, 6th and 11th in the Robot Performance element of the competition. Our school spent the entire day Saturday going head to head in robot games and also presenting to a panel of judges our Innovation Project research, Robot Design, and Core Values related to working together as a team.
While our teams will not be advancing to the state championships this year, everyone had a ton of fun making it as far as we did! We had a busy and productive season learning how to work together as a team to complete a series of tasks that would help us be successful on competition day. Our teams even held a snack sale which ended up raising $968. All profits were donated to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Competing against other schools has helped us to realize where we need to improve and we could not be more excited to come back next year stronger and better than ever!
