Springs School's "Sensational Six" bowling team racked up medals and lots of smiles at Saturday's Special Olympics Bowling Tournament! Students Isaiah Brodie, Robbie Matz, and Sean Lester all brought home gold medals. Winning sliver were Liam Baum and Paula Retana. Juliana Figueroa won the bronze medal in her division. The team also had some "first" and person bests! "It was the first bowling tournament for Sean, and it was Isaiah's first tournament bowling without a ramp!" said organizer Mrs. Reidlinger. "Robbie had a team high and personal best of 222 total points for two games!"

The next event will be the 2016 Special Olympics Long Island Spring Games on Sunday, May 22nd at Bellport High School. Athletes will compete there in Track and Field events. It's a great outdoor event and everyone is encouraged to come out and cheer on our athletes! Please contact Mrs. Reidlinger for more information or if you're interested in volunteering:
