8th Graders learn to prepare healthy plant based snacks

Mr. Colavito’s 7th & 8th grade health classes prepared healthy plant based snacks with Susan, Erika, and Kate Rabinowitz from the Anna Lytton Foundation. They made snacks, such as Chocolate White Bean Hummus with Pomegranate Seeds and Local Seasonal Vegetables with Sunflower Seed Ricotta. The students also learned to make cold and flu remedies. The students used a mixture of vegtables from the greenhouse and local ingredients such as local raw honey.
